"Macbeth"
In the play "Macbeth", blood is the most recurrent image in the play. Blood reoccurs many times showing death, guilt and foreshadowing what is to happen to Macbeth.
"Where's that knocking? What's happened to me, that every noise scares me? Whose hands are these? They're plucking my eyes out! Is there enough water in the oceans to wash my hands of this blood? No! More likely my hands will stain the vast green seas boodred." -Macbeth (to Lady Macbeth)
All of the blood is getting to Macbeth because he killed Duncan. Now he is feeling guilty for what he has done. He doesn't completely realize what he has done and that the cannot change the fact that he killed Duncan. Macbeth's hands are all bloody and stained and he is delirious.

"To be thus-a king-is nothing. I must be safely thus. I fear Banquo deeply. In his regal nature, there's a ruling element to be feared. He's daring; and with that fearless quality of mind, he has a wisdom, which guides his courage to act in a safety. I fear no one but him. While he's around, I feel constrained it's said Mark Antony felt the same way about Caesar. Banquo scolded the Sisters when they first told me I'd be king, and ordered them to speak to him. Then, like prophets, they hailed him as the father of a line of kings. On my head they placed a sterile crown and put a barren scepter in my hand-to be wrenched from me by a stranger, instead of handed to a son of Banquo's offspring. For them, I've murdered the gracious Duncan. Turned my peace sour merely for them. And surrendered my immortal soul to the devil-to make them kings! The sons of Banquo, kings! Rather than that, I challenge fate to the death!"- Macbeth
In this paragraph, Macbeth is talking about how Banquo is a threat to him so he must get rid of him. He also speaks of how he killed Duncan for him. When Macbeth talks about killing Duncan, he speaks as if killing Duncan for Banquo was trying to help him, but now he wants to kill Banquo to help himself. The line where he speaks of how Mark Antony felt the same way about Caesar portrays blood in a way because of the fact that Macbeth relates to them.
"My name's Macbeth."
-Macbeth
"No-not even if the name you use is hotter than any known in hell."
-Young Siward
" No, nor more frightening!"
- Macbeth
"You're lying, you odious tyrant! I'll prove it's a lie with my sword!"
-Young Siward
This is the scene when Young Siward and Macbeth are arguing because Young Siward doesn't like Macbeth and so he tells him but Macbeth doesn't react to what he is telling him. While already in the anger and the guilty along with greed, Macbeth doesn't like what he is hearing so he decides to do away with Young Siward as well.
"Of all men, I've avoided you! Get back! There's too much blood of yours on my soul already!" Macbeth
Macbeth is speaking to Macduff and what he means is that every time him and Macduff are around each other, Macbeth does something wrong or something bad happens. "I won't surrender, to kiss the ground beneath young Malcome's feet and to be taunted by the curses of the rabble. Even if Birnam Wood has come to Dunsinane, and you are my opponent-not born of woman- I'll keep fighting to the end. I throw my warlike shield before my body. Fight on, Macduff, and damned be the one who first cries, "Stop, enough!" Macbeth
In this quote, Macbeth and Macduff battle on like the enemies they have become. Macbeth has reached his final step of anger and wants to get rid of the next most powerful one who could end it all for him. But, Macbeth gets killed by Macduff in their sword fight and Macduff decapitates him. Malcome becomes the new king.
