When considering forgery and negotiation of invalid checks the onus falls on the party that had the greater opportunity to prevent the fraud. In this case it was Actors Equity. They failed on several occasions to prevent this and failed to do so. As far as the law is concerned, they have no recourse to go back to Bank of New York and recover the amount of the forged checks.

Abraham Lincoln also opposed slavery. In 1865, the US Congress approved the Thirteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, to abolish slavery. After the conclusion of the Civil War, slavery was abolished throughout the entire US. Through the actions and leadership of people like Martin Luther King, Jr., many improvements have been made in the area of human rights in the US. Racial equality is still constantly improving.

And, I want to make practical the standard I teach my daughter, which is, education first.
